Mama Juana. Cocina Latina & Mexicana

My friends and I were craving some Latin flavor and stumbled upon this cozy little nook—and what a find! We were seated right away, the music was vibing perfectly, and let’s just say our waiter John didn’t hurt the experience one bit—charming, attentive, and easy on the eyes. The food came out fast and wow, it did not disappoint. The Colombian empanadas were fresh, light, and packed with flavor. One friend had the birria tacos and couldn’t stop raving about how insanely tasty they were. I went for the chicken fajitas, and they hit all the right notes—savory, juicy, and sizzling hot. And the showstopper? My other friend ordered Mama’s Quesadilla and declared it the best quesadilla of his life. Bold words—and well deserved! Needless to say, we’ll definitely be back. This place is great!

This was my first time dying here in the food was excellent. The service is just as good. I highly recommend trying this place out. I had the lunch special, Bandeja Paisa.

This place is fantastic! Everything I’ve ordered has been amazing. First time was take out and today I ate inside. The atmosphere was good, clean place and seated right away. I’ve tried their Arroz Con pollo, Empanadas, and Chicken Quesadillas. My go to place now!! 10 ⭐

Today I dined at a small restaurant located in a tidy, renovated shopping center - a restaurant one may not easily find unless, as was my case, it was suggested by a friend. I am pleased to have discovered this distinctly authentic dining option in Spartanburg. To say this is another riff on Mexican food would be grossly inaccurate and do an injustice to the menu, which is true to the words on the restaurant's name - Latin fusion. While my friend ordered the more traditional chicken fajitas, I ventured farther south to the Venezuelan arepas. The arepas can be ordered with various proteins, but I chose chicharrones . The corn meal pocket was flaky and easily supported the crispy chicharrones. Garnishes with cheese and accompanied by a light, delicious sauce - cilantro garlic, if I am not mistaken. I will definitely return for dinner as the dinner menu offers many other options to discover the Latin fusion style.
